The Affordable House Project is a Habitat For Humanity House Located in Noblesville, IN. A map is shown below. This house is for the Cyrus family. The family consists of one adults and two children. This house is a three bedroom home. I have incorporated Energy Star rated appliances for sustainability. Mr. Cyrus asked for a nonboxy house that has three bedrooms and one full and one half bath. As the architect, I had to stay within the Habitat for Humanity Guidelines, so I had to stay below 1070 square feet. This posed a special challenge to fit everything in.

Calculations
Storm Water Runoff
Predevelopment:
Q=C(f)CiA
I=3.05
A=.5
C(f)=1.25
C=.1
Q=(3.05)(.5)(1.25)(.1)=.2 cfs
Post development:
I=3.05
A=1011.8/43560=.02(Drive Way)
A=1167/43560=.02(Roof)
C(f)=1.25
C(asphalt)=.95
Q=3.05*(.46)*1.25*.95=1.67 cfs
Change in Runoff:
Q=Q(pre)-Q(post)
Q=.2-1.67= A difference of 1.47
So a ditch will be need to let the water sit while is soaks into the ground.
